At 25 I feel like society expects you to have it all together...to know who you are, what you want out of life and how you will spend the rest of it. At 25 I've JUST recently graduated college with my bachelor's, been married 2 years and just had a baby...also still staying with my parents til we get a place of our own.
As accomplished as I feel, I have by no means "got it all together". I am blessed by the life I've been given and am enjoying it as we go along. Don't get me wrong I have general plans and goals for what I want for our family but after years of societal pressure & things not turning out as I meticulously mapped out... I am finding less of a need to plan out my life.
First, because I don't know how many days the Lord has chosen to bless me with & who am I to determine how they will be played out moment by moment. Secondly, LIFE HAPPENS... no amount of planning can ultimately predict every occurrence. Trust me, we planned to wait 2 years before trying for our daughter, but God had bigger, better plans...and I couldn't be happier than to receive the "early" blessing!
Besides, what fun is it to plan out everything...why take the mystery & excitement out of the adventure & journey. I can attest that 90% of my life has not gone according to my plans but rather what was needed & God intended.
So for now I will stick to planning meals, vacations & short term goals...but the rest of my life? Ehh I'll leave that to the one that holds it < 3
